Each village has its own traditional dance.
The houses are basically rounded-shape with only one door, no windows, made of woven dried bamboos and grass-thatched roofs, carpet with dry grass.
It may sound weird but pigs are kept as house pets.
They still practice slash & burning method of farming (subsistent farmers).

Mt Wilhelm Trek
is one of the most popular trekking leading to its peak of 4509m.
This is the highest peak in Papua New Guinea and South Pacific.
3 Nights 4 days trip out of Goroka. Spend 2 nights at Base camp beside one of the marvellous lakes. Suitable for climbing all year round.
Enjoy a view of magnificent rocky, rugged mountain ranges from the summit.
On a clear day, you may be able to see Bismarck Sea on the north coast of New Guinea island. There is no technical climbing, however due to high altitude and long walking hours (may up to 13-15 hours in a day),normal to strong physical fitness is required.

Goroka - Simbu Trek
was a traditional trade route among the local people.
